The BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize is designed to honor scientists whose discoveries have significant societal ramifications, as well as encourage scientific leadership in Hong Kong. The winners were honored at the award ceremony, which was attended by celebrities and representatives from government agencies. They were presented with trophies and certificates. The event was broadcast live online and on television.
