The Hongkong Prize and Other Prizes

The hongkong prize is a non-governmental merit-based award which recognizes young researchers who have made significant contributions to science and technology innovation. It also serves as a platform for promoting scientific research in Hong Kong.

The prize is open to students and researchers from universities and schools in Hong Kong, who must submit a written paper and video explaining their work. The winners of the prize will be recognized at a ceremony in 2021.

HKFA awards

The Hong Kong Film Awards (HKFA; Chinese: Xiang Gang Dian Ying Jin Xiang Jiang) are an annual film awards ceremony in Hong Kong. They were established in 1982 and are the equivalent of the American Academy Awards in Asia. They are hosted by the Hong Kong Filmmakers Association Ltd.

Hong Kong-based writer Kate Li Bingcun was named a top prize winner at China Daily’s annual writing competition this year, with her three-part culture series entitled “In dialogue with time” winning two prizes. The story took on three dimensions: the shipping of national treasures from Beijing’s Palace Museum to Hong Kong; the city’s unique ways of showcasing cultural relics; and a touching story about an art fan committed to restoring ancient Chinese artifacts after retirement.
