Hong Kong Pools – The Best Places to Cool Off in the Cool Autumn Air

With the cool sniff of autumn in the air, hk pools are once again open to the public. And while they’re a great way to cool off, swimming in crowded public lanes is not exactly ideal, so let’s take a look at some of the best private ones instead!

Swimming is a great way to exercise and stay fit, but it’s also an excellent way to reduce stress and depression. And it’s one of the best exercises to help increase your energy levels – it increases your metabolic rate, so you’ll feel genuinely more energized!

It’s no wonder why people are rushing to get back in the water – and it seems that Hong Kong is leading the way. According to a recent survey by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), over half of all LCSD-managed public swimming pools have been contaminated with vomit or faeces, and almost one third have been contaminated with urine. The LCSD has since issued an advisory to warn swimmers about these risks and recommends that they use the filtered water in the pool and drink only water from the vending machines.

Thankfully, the number of these incidents has declined since then. But the issue still persists. And while the LCSD claims that it has been working to improve the quality of public pool water, some people aren’t so sure. They’ve reported that some hk pools have added an exemption clause to their waiver form, which allows them to avoid liability in case of a swimmer drowning.

The LCSD has said that it will review all waiver forms to ensure they meet legal requirements. But for now, the best course of action is to check the individual pool’s schedule before heading out. Some pools are closed for cleaning on different days of the week, and many also have annual maintenance or repairs. You can find these on the LCSD’s website. And remember, some pools have lockers where you can store your belongings – but you’ll need to bring a coin. And don’t forget your sunscreen – even in the summer, you can easily get burnt! And finally, don’t forget your waterproof camera or smartphone – there are plenty of great photos to be snapped at these amazing hk pools!
